About Home Mountain Ski Club

Los Angeles's only physical ski club — where skiers and snowboarders train, improve, and recover year-round, so every trip to the mountain is the best one yet.

What's Your Home Mountain?

If you've spent any time around skiers and snowboarders, you've heard the question. It's one of the first things riders ask each other when they meet: "What's your home mountain?" What they mean is simple — where do you mostly ride? Where do you feel most at home on snow?

For millions of Southern Californians, the answer has always been somewhere far away. Mammoth Mountain. Big Bear. Park City. Whistler. Places that require hours of travel, a cleared schedule, and the right conditions just to get a few turns in.

We built Home Mountain Ski Club to change that — to give Los Angeles's skiers and snowboarders a real home base, right here in the city.

Our goal is to be the home mountain for every LA-based winter sports enthusiast. Not a replacement for the real thing — nothing ever will be — but a place to train, sharpen your skills, stay in shape, and stay connected to the sport you love, all year long. So that when you finally do make the drive to Mammoth or Big Bear, you arrive ready. Confident. In the best shape of your skiing life.

What Home Mountain Is

Home Mountain Ski Club is the only physical ski club in California — a private, members-and-appointments facility in Culver City, West Los Angeles.

Ski & Snowboard Simulator Training

We operate the only public ski simulator in Los Angeles — the same platform built by SkyTechSport and used by US Ski Team athletes, including Mikaela Shiffrin. Certified PSIA-AASI coaches guide every session, for every level from first-timer to seasoned racer.

Ski-Specific Fitness

A real gym built around ski and snowboard performance. Strength, balance, power, and mobility training designed to make you a better athlete on snow — led by certified personal trainers who understand what it takes to perform on the mountain.

Recovery

A private recovery lounge with sauna and cold plunge contrast therapy, guided mobility sessions, and body reset work. Because the athletes who recover with intention are the ones who keep improving — and keep skiing for decades.

Community

A growing club of Los Angeles skiers and snowboarders who share a love for the sport. Events, group sessions launching Fall 2026, summer youth camps, and a community that makes you feel at home on and off the mountain.

What We're Here to Do

Home Mountain will never replace skiing outdoors. We know that, and we wouldn't want it to. There is nothing in the world like a bluebird day at Mammoth with fresh corduroy under your skis, or a powder run at Big Bear with your friends. That feeling is irreplaceable.

What we can do is help you enjoy it more.

We can help you arrive at the resort with stronger legs, sharper technique, and more confidence. We can help you recover faster after big days on the mountain so you're ready to go again the next morning. We can help your child build skills indoors so their first day on real snow is a triumph instead of a frustration. We can give competitive athletes a year-round training environment so the off-season doesn't mean starting over.

We exist to make every outdoor ski and snowboard experience better — safer, more enjoyable, and longer-lasting. That's the whole mission.

Where We Are

Home Mountain Ski Club is located at 8954 Ellis Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90034 — in Culver City, on the Westside of Los Angeles. We're minutes from Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Palms, Westwood, Venice, and Beverly Hills.

All sessions are private and by appointment only — for members and new visitors alike. We are open seven days a week, 9 AM to 9 PM, but the club is only in use when a session or class is scheduled.

The Person Behind It

Meet the Founder

Connor Bishop, Founder of Home Mountain Ski Club

Connor Bishop

Founder, Home Mountain Ski Club

Connor grew up skiing in Lake Tahoe — spending as many days as possible on the mountain from the time he was young. Skiing wasn't just a hobby; it was a way of life, a community, and a passion he wanted to share with everyone around him.

In 2021, Connor moved to Los Angeles. He quickly discovered something that surprised him: a massive community of skiers and snowboarders living in a city with no real place to train, no ski club to belong to, and no way to stay connected to the sport they loved between mountain trips.

He set out to change that. Home Mountain Ski Club opened in 2025 — built around the belief that every Los Angeles skier and snowboarder deserves a real home base in the city. A place to get better, stay fit, recover well, and be part of a community that shares their love for the mountains.

Connor is still deeply involved in the day-to-day of Home Mountain and wants to hear from you. Whether you have feedback, an idea, a question, or just want to say hello — he reads every message personally.
